Hi, I’m Rosie and I am a Certified Counsellor with a Master of Counselling degree and more than 25 years of experience in client-centred health care. I work with adults and adolescents aged 16+ who are struggling with anxiety—including generalized and social anxiety, OCD, specific phobias, rumination, and perfectionism—as well as depression, mood and interpersonal challenges, and questions around identity and life direction.

My earlier career in physiotherapy gave me a deep appreciation for the connection between physical and emotional well-being. Working with people in diverse life stages and settings, I became increasingly drawn to the deeper stories clients carry, from the meanings they make of their experiences, the values they want to live by, and the patterns that hold them back. This led me to pursue advanced training in counselling and fully transition into mental health practice.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-informed methods. I draw from cognitive and behavioural approaches, narrative therapy, exposure-based interventions, and acceptance and commitment therapy. In all of these frameworks, I aim to help clients notice unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour, develop skills to improve emotional regulation and resilience, and engage the skills for a life that reflects what truly matter to them.

In our work together, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental space where your experiences are received with close attention, and you are regarded with unconditional respect. Whether you come with clear goals, or come only with the sense that something is not right, we will work together to identify your dilemma and get a vision for how it could be resolved. Guided by curiosity—and what I call “the next best question”—we explore both immediate concerns and the broader patterns shaping your life.

My approach is both supportive and practical. Together, we will explore the wisdom you bring about your life and the context of your struggle, and pair it with a blend of therapeutic approaches that best fit your situation. Through a natural, back-and-forth conversation, we will collaborate on next steps and commit to actions that foster lasting change in serve of the life you value.
